Seattle Skyline

Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks, Super Bowl XLVIII champs!

Whether you’re a football fan or not, Seattle is a great place to visit. Not only is it the coffee capital of the US (Starbucks anyone?), home to Amazon, Microsoft, and Nordstrom, it also has some really great things to see and do.

Have you been? My first visit was in September 2012 and I was amazed at all there was to do and see in the city. Our four-day weekend was packed and we still didn’t get to see everything.

Here are just a few things to take in while in Seattle. Join as we walk down memory lane:

Day One:  Space Needle, EMP Museum, Science Center

Day Two:  Bainbridge Island, Underground Tour

Day Three:  Edgewater Hotel, Pike’s Place Market, Pioneer Square

Day Four:  Safeco Field, Agrosy Harbor Cruise, Seattle Aquarium

If you’ve been, where or what do you recommend visitors see or do? If you haven’t and wanted to visit, what is your “must see” while there?

Be sure to check out our Seattle Pinterest boards for more pictures of our visit!

  1. I love visiting Seattle! My favorite, among many I enjoy, is having dinner at the top of the Space Needle. If possible have more than 4 people in your group so that you are seated near the window.

  2. yes, I’ve been to Seattle and enjoyed the sounds and smells! Reminded me of Victoria BC and the inner harbour! ship whittles and fish smells and lanyard clanging! loved it!

  3. I was so happy that they won! I’ve never been there or know much about it, but I’m sure there are lots of great things to see. I’d love to go to the Science Center.

  4. Looks like the perfect itinerary to me. I haven’t been to Washington in YEARS and have been dying to go back. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it there this fall. We’ll see. 🙂

  5. Hi Maria,

I LOVE this post because you’ve reminded me of the great time I had when I visited Seattle! The weather was beautiful (not a day of rain!) and I got to see some really cool places and stuff! I really enjoyed Pike’s Place Market and the guys throwing the fish, the Space Needle, and Seattle Aquarium! I didn’t hear about an underground tour though. What was that like??
Thanks for the great post and trip down memory lane. 🙂

  6. Great post Maria and while I am not a football fan, never had the chance to see Seattle, but those are great things to be able to visit. I, personally, would love to see the workings of Amazon! lol Thanks for sharing!
