With the Olympic Games in London starting in July of this year, a lot more of you may be traveling overseas for the first time.   Which means you may be applying for your very first passport, so I wanted to share some tips to keep mind as you go through the passport process:

There is no minimum age for obtaining a passport.  So if you are traveling with a small child or even an infant, they will also require a passport.

The passport process can take as little as four weeks and as long as three months to process.  While you can get expedited service, there is a $60 surcharge for that process.

Fees for passports vary

New passport applications must be filed in person.
